Virginia EECBG Program
Serving Virginia Localities: Professional Energy Certifications for Contractors & No-Cost Home Energy Assessments for Residents
Through the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) provided by the U.S. Department of Energy, Virginia Energy has launched a limited-time program to train local professionals and provide free home energy audits to qualifying households.
All applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis using a standardized rubric that aligns with locality-specific guidelines and program objectives. Applications received by the published deadline will be considered; however, acceptance is not guaranteed. Final selections are made based on eligibility, application quality, and program capacity.

About the Program
Virginia Energy launched this initiative to help communities lower energy costs while building local expertise.
Everblue is collaborating with participating Virginia counties and towns to implement the EECBG program by recruiting participants, delivering training, and supporting residential audits across:
Greene County
Botetourt County
Madison County
Town of Rocky Mount
Town of Vinton
This program creates immediate value for both participants and homeowners. While expanding local expertise and supporting building code-compliant solutions.

For Training Participants: Become a Home Energy Auditor
Turn this opportunity into a new revenue stream
EECBG funding is providing professional training for local residents and contractors to become certified Energy Auditors.
Selected participants will earn three nationally recognized certifications and gain real-world experience performing residential energy audits.
This program is designed to help you expand your skillset, increase your professional value, and position yourself for future opportunities.

Building Science Principles (BSP) training
BPI Building Analyst Technician training
BPI Building Analyst Professional training
Hands-on field experience performing real audits
Direct mentorship from experienced trainers
Industry-recognized credentials that strengthen your credibility
